I’m know this has got to be a popular play tonight, but at +550 on BetMGM for their "First TD Insurance" promotion, Kupp is really hard to pass up. He has scored a TD in his last NINE straight games, and was fantastic against San Francisco last season. He's obviously the best player on the field for the Rams offense, or maybe even in the game for that matter (sorry, Aaron), and I like his chance to get the first score of the game at +550. I see value there, and I also like the Rams +2 at -110, which adds to this bet.

This is one of those situations. Under Sean McVay, the Rams are 7-0 versus the firs-half spread when the first-half total is between 18-21 (it’s O/U 20 points at the time of this writing). The Rams are 2-1 this season and I think they can make it 3-1 here against the 49ers (1-2). Some trends in favor of the Rams are that, while coaching L.A., Sean McVay is 26-6 SU after a division game, including 18-3 when that was a win and 9-2 when that win was on the road. The 49ers are also averaging just 15.7 points per game, so I think the Rams can get the win here.

Neither team has been reliable against the spread so far this season (combined 2-4 ATS), thanks in large part to offenses struggling to find their rhythms, so I'm not picking a side in this one. But those offensive issues have led to the under going 5-1 combined in these teams' games, and I see that trend continuing Monday night with two stout defenses squaring off in San Francisco. The 49ers have mustered just 15.7 points per game while allowing only 12.3, as their games have gone under by an average of 12.8 points. Meanwhile, the Rams are scoring 20.3 ppg and allowing 23.3, though the bulk of those points allowed came against Buffalo (31) in that Week 1 blowout; even still, L.A.'s games are going under by an average of 5.2 ppg. I'm expecting another low-scoring affair Monday night.
