Mispriced Opening Lines For NFL Week 7 Action

Dan Karpuc - Oct 26, 2021, 2:36pm EDT- The New England Patriots are 7-point favorites vs. the New York Jets. Back in Week 2, these two teams met in New York and the Patriots thrashed the Jets 25-6. The Pats will likely close as double-digit favorites after narrowly losing to the Dallas Cowboys in overtime in Week 6.
- The New York Giants are a complete mess at the moment (having just lost 38-11 to the Los Angeles Rams at home) and host the Carolina Panthers in Week 7. Carolina is currently a -2.5 favorite and should attract public and sharp bettors as the week goes on, having just lost a nail-biter to the Minnesota Vikings in overtime. The Giants are an NFL-worst 9-26 SU at home since the start of 2017.
- The Green Bay Packers are -9.5 home favorites against the Washington Football Team. Green Bay is 5-1 ATS while Washington is 1-5 ATS this season and the Packers are simply the better team on both sides of the ball. This will likely close as a double-digit spread, so it makes sense to jump on Aaron Rodgers and company at this number.
Patriots (-7) vs. Jets
The Patriots’ 2-4 overall record is a bit deceiving since they lost 17-16 to the Miami Dolphins in Week 1, 19-17 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4 and 35-29 in overtime to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6. However, the one game that was never in question was their Week 2 win over the Jets in New York.
Bill Belichick has the blueprint and New England is in desperate need of a win to stay relevant. To make matters worse for the Jets, this game will be played at Gillette Stadium. The Patriots forced Jets rookie quarterback Zach Wilson into four interceptions in their previous meeting and will likely try (and succeed) to confuse him and the Jets offense yet again.
Panthers (-2.5) at Giants
The Giants are dealing with numerous injuries and just got their teeth kicked in by the Los Angeles Rams at home, losing 38-11 in front of a fanbase that’s seemingly losing faith in them. New York is an NFL-worst 9-26 SU at home since the start of the 2017 season and are simply a complete mess.
Meanwhile, the Panthers have lost three games in a row, but all three came by one possession and their Week 6 loss to the Vikings came in overtime. This is a perfect get-right spot for Sam Darnold and company and they’ll have an advantage on both sides of the ball. As the week rolls on, expect Carolina to become a larger and larger favorite, making this one of the best values to get action on now.
Packers (-9.5) vs. Washington
Green Bay is 5-1 ATS while Washington is 1-5 ATS this season and the Packers are simply the better team on both sides of the ball. This will close as a double-digit spread, so it makes sense to jump on Aaron Rodgers and company at this number. Green Bay has enjoyed double-digit wins in three of the five victories on their current win streak and should earn another one in front of their home fans at Lambeau Field in Week 7.
