Joe O and Sammy P Analyze Eagles-Packers Wildcard Matchup on BetQL Daily

Sharp bettors back Philadelphia as the line moves to Eagles -4.5; BetQL highlights under 45 as a best bet.

The Philadelphia Eagles secured the NFC East title and now face the Green Bay Packers in the Wildcard round. Philly wrapped up the regular season with back-to-back wins over the Cowboys and Giants—without their starting quarterback, Jalen Hurts.

Hurts suffered a concussion in Week 16 against the Commanders and hasn’t cleared protocol yet. Head coach Nick Sirianni is optimistic Hurts will return on Saturday, but the star QB may show some rust after nearly three weeks off.
Meanwhile, the Packers have issues of their own heading into this matchup.

“When you look at the Green Bay Packers, something else that has to stand out, Sam, is the struggles within the division,” said Joe Ostrowski on BetQL Daily while speaking with co-host Sam Panayotovich.

The Packers went just 1-5 in the NFC North this season, a red flag for bettors considering their performance against strong competition. That’s one angle some sharps are taking to fade Green Bay.

“This is one of those point spreads that’s been moving north as Eagles money has been coming in since it was posted last night,” Ostrowski noted.

The line opened at Eagles -3.5 but has since moved to -4.5.

“Definitely some uncertainty with Jordan Love, that has to be part of the equation,” Panayotovich noted. “Forget not playing—they don’t even know how healthy he is.”

Love exited Green Bay’s Week 18 matchup against the Bears early in the first half with an elbow injury and didn’t return.

“There’s always going to be respect for a healthy Jordan Love on the road because we’ve seen it, we’ve watched it with our eyes, we’ve seen them go on the road and hang,” Panayotovich said. “I thought the opener was big-time respect for Green Bay.”

Sharp bettors didn’t agree, quickly backing Philadelphia and pushing the line up.

The Eagles’ defense could be a big factor in this game. Ostrowski and Panayotovich pointed out that Philly boasts one of the league’s top-10 units against both the pass and the run. With Love’s health in question and the Packers missing top wide receiver Christian Watson, the line movement makes sense.

As for the BetQL model, it doesn’t see a big edge on the current spread, rating Green Bay +4.5 as a 1-star play—not exactly a confidence booster. However, the model highlights the total as a potential value play. It rates the under 45 as a 5-star best bet, projecting just 38 points, an eight-point difference from the current line.
