BetMGM releases their betting data percentages every so often so we can see where the majority of the tickets and money are going in the market. Their latest release of this NFL Division Winner data pointed out some very surprising teams and numbers that maybe you wouldn't have thought would be so popular. We can also find out where the smart and sharp money is going, so let's dive in a bit at a few points that stuck out.

Most bet (tickets) teams to win division:

• Steelers +700
• Texans +110
• Bears +375

Most bet (money) teams to win division:

• Jets +240
• Texans +110
• Chiefs -225

Public On Steelers To Win AFC North

Many believe that the Steelers will finish last in the AFC North this season with so many questions at the QB position. They signed QB Russell Wilson to a deal to be the starter, but they also traded for QB Justin Fields from the Bears as a backup plan, so there is already a competition. Still, that has certainly not stopped people from betting on them, and their division winner odds have gone from 12/1 down to 7/1 at BetMGM.

A high 57.2% of tickets in that market have gone to Pittsburgh, with 54.2% of the money as well. That would not make this a sharp bet, but the overall majority of tickets and money have gone to the Steelers.

If you want the sharp bet in the division, check out the Cincinnati Bengals. They are getting just 19.5% of the tickets but 29.2% of the handle, almost a +10% advantage there. Their odds have gone from +175 to +165 at MGM since open.

Jets Are Sharp Play In The AFC East

Not only are the New York Jets receiving a ton of love in the AFC East this season, but they also appear to be the sharp play to win that division in 2024. This shouldn't come as a shock to anyone, with QB Aaron Rodgers returning to the field and presumably playing more than just one drive this season. In addition to that, the Jets boast one of the better defenses in the AFC and a talented roster to boot. With the Bills looking like a team that is declining, the Patriots being the favorite for the No. 1 pick next year, and the Dolphins with questions on if they can really compete with the big boys, New York has emerged as a favorite.

At the time of this writing, 56.4% of the tickets are on the Jets, and a whopping 81.5% of the handle is as well. That makes this the sharp play in the division with a +26% advantage on ticket/handle. Their odds opened at +280 and are down to +240 at BetMGM.
