TNF Player Prop Bets: Steelers-Browns

Mitchell Trubisky Under 202.5 Passing Yards (-115)

In his first two starts, Mitchell Trubisky hasn’t hit the over on this. And those games weren’t on short weeks or against one of the top secondaries in the league.

Trubisky threw for 194 yards against the Bengals, which Cooper Rush just topped in a win for the Cowboys over Cincinnati. Then, Trubisky totaled 168 yards in Week 2 against the Patriots.

Some have even begun wondering if Trubisky should continue to be the Steelers’ quarterback with first-round pick Kenny Pickett on the team. If the Browns build a substantial lead and Trubisky is struggling, there’s a chance Pickett finishes this game.

The Steelers have good offensive weapons, but I don’t trust Trubisky to eclipse this total.

George Pickens Under 30.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

With the same logic as Trubisky not going over 203 passing yards, George Pickens probably won’t reach this total, either.

Many people, including myself, were high on Pickens going into the draft. That hype only increased when he went to the Steelers and continuously made impressive plays in the preseason.

But through two weeks of the regular season, he’s averaged three targets and one reception per game. It may be tough to improve on those numbers this week against defensive backs as talented as Cleveland’s.

Pickens is on an offense with Trubisky at quarterback and receivers like Diontae Johnson, who has double-digit targets each of the first two games, and Chase Claypool. Pickens likely won’t have the volume needed to bet the over here.

Jacoby Brissett Over 0.5 Interceptions Thrown (+110)

This seems like it will be a sloppy game with mistakes made. Both quarterbacks could easily throw picks, but Brissett’s odds to do so are more profitable.

Brissett threw his first interception of the season against the Jets, but according to Pro Football Focus, he’s made three turnover-worthy throws in these first two weeks. On the season, the Steelers have intercepted five passes, four against Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. Pittsburgh’s secondary is playing well and hunting for turnovers.

Brissett has been fine these first two weeks, but not all of his throws will be on the mark. When they aren’t, the Steelers should capitalize.
