NFL Week 3 brings us a Sunday Night Football showdown with the Steelers traveling to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders. Both teams sit at 1-1 on the year with Pittsburgh coming off a win over the Browns (26-22) and the Raiders coming off a loss to the Bills (38-10). Las Vegas is at home for the first time this season while Pittsburgh will play its first game away from Acrisure Stadium.

Depending on the book, this line sits anywhere from Steelers +1.5 to -1, but the total is the same across the board, sitting at 44. Can the Raiders notch their first home win of the season, or will Pittsburgh get the victory on the road? Let's find out!

Since Mike Tomlin became the head coach in 2007, the Steelers have gone 32-21-1 SU when playing at a rest disadvantage. That means they're winning 60.4% of the time on a short week, which is the exact situation they find themselves in this week after beating Cleveland on Monday Night Football.

If we alter the sample size to see how Pittsburgh has performed over the last four seasons following a MNF appearance, Tomlin's squad is 5-1-1 SU since 2019. It's one loss came in a divisional matchup against the Ravens who won 26-24 in overtime. However, in those five wins, the Steelers are beating their opponents by an average of 6.2 points per game. In other words, when they win, they're more than likely also covering the spread.

On the Raiders side, since moving to Vegas in 2020, they're just 3-6 SU (33.3%) when playing at a rest advantage. Although, with this being their first home game of the season, I think we could see a better performance than what they've shown in this situation in previous years. So, with Sunday's line so short, I'd prefer to pay a little more juice and take the Steelers on the moneyline in what is expected to be a very tight game.
