In Week 5, Texas welcomes Kansas into Texas Memorial Stadium, where the home team is a 17-point favorite. I've been a huge Texas backer since I wrote my futures article on them before the season at +2500 to win the title. However, they will have a tough battle on their hands with the explosive attack of Kansas coming to town on Saturday.
The game will be broadcast on ABC at 3:30 p.m. ET at Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, TX. With live odds evolving (as you can see below), we've found a betting angle that heavily favors one team and we're only giving it out only to our paid subscribers. Scroll down to see what it is!

Kansas has come a long way with its football program over the last several years, and that shows in its No. 17 ranking coming into this massive showdown with No. 3 Texas. Both teams are 4-0, and both have very strong offenses that have generated a ton of points in their first four games. However, the Longhorns have something that the Jayhawks lack and that is a defense.
Kansas ranks outside the top 100 in both passing and rushing explosiveness allowed, meaning they are giving up big plays at a very high rate. They also rank as the worst team in all of FBS in Finishing Drives Allowed, meaning that they almost always let up a score when their opponent gets inside their territory. With Texas ranking inside the top 20 in offensive explosiveness, they should be able to score at will on a poor Kansas defense that will be overwhelmed on the road.
Texas -17 (-105, PointsBet)
While there isn't s specific trend that backs Texas here to blow out Kansas, I will continue backing the Longhorns. I think they're just a class above the Jayhawks, and I don't see the Longhorn offense being slowed down at all here in what should be a high-scoring game.
