BetQL is here to get you all the best information you need this college basketball season to destroy the sportsbooks and load up your bank account for a nice winter. From underdogs, to sharp bets, to public bets, we have everything you need to increase your knowledge and beat the books every single day.

Let's take a look at the teams below that have been the best in college basketball ATS.

Florida Atlantic Owls (10-1 ATS, 90% Cover Rate)

The best team in all of college basketball in terms of covering the spread this season is none other than the wonderful Florida Atlantic Owls. As of this writing, Florida Atlantic is 10-1 ATS this season, which is a 90% cover rate. They are easily one of the best mid-majors in the country, and it's easy to see why. Alijah Martin, Michael Forrest, Bryan Greenlee, Nick Boyd, Johnell Davis and Jalen Gaffney are all shooting at least 36% from outside the arc, with each having taken at least 22 shots. They are shooting 48% as a team and are currently 12-1 on the season. Their only loss is against Ole Miss, and that was a narrow defeat.

The biggest problem with FAU is the fact that they rely maybe a bit too much on that outside shot. They rank 202nd in 2-point distribution and 358th in free-throw distribution, and they get a majority of their points from outside. it's worked out so far, and they have been a covering machine, but it's always scary to rely on one type of shot.

Nevertheless, if you are looking to start the college basketball season betting on a team, Florida Atlantic might be the team you want to keep an eye on first.

North Carolina Central Eagles (8-1-1 ATS, 88.9% Cover Rate)

The second best team in college basketball in terms of ATS is another team that maybe you have never even seen play a game. The North Carolina Central Eagles have been killing it this season, and fall just slightly behind Florida Atlantic in terms of cover rate. NC Central is shooting 42.5% from beyond the arc and 70.4% from the free throw line, so we have another great shooting team. See a pattern forming here? Justin Wright is averaging 15.2 points and 3.3 rebounds, while Brendan Medley-Bacon is averaging 10.8 points and 4.7 rebounds. I love that guy's name, Medley-Bacon is just incredible.

These teams that can score at a moments notice have been covering a lot this season, and NC Central continues to pour the ball into the net. They have some problems defensively, but they have been able to overcome it with their shooting. They have played less games than a lot of CBB teams, so they have had more rest.

This is another team to keep a close eye on as the season reaches the midway point. I'm telling you, some of the best value in college hoops comes from teams you would never watch or see on TV, and this article is a testament to that.

James Madison Dukes (10-2 ATS, 83.3% Cover Rate)

If you're looking for a high-flying team that loves to score points, look no further than the Dukes of James Madison. They love to push the tempo as they rank first in the nation with 93.2 points per game and seventh in field goal percentage with 50.7% shooting. It's a big reason why they have landed as the third-best ATS team in college basketball this season, covering at an 83.3% rate. Defensively, they are allowing just 66.6 points per game on 40.4% shooting, so they are just as good at that end of the court.

They lost to Marshall, 72-66, but have been competitive in almost all of their games. The Dukes played well against some tough opponents, including losing at Virginia 55-50 while getting 12.5 points. They are almost always going to be competitive, and only have one game where they had a bad loss (Coppin State).

James Madison is another team that flies under the radar because nobody watches their games, but they can compete with almost anyone. Their most recent outright win against Marshall came as a +4 underdog, and they have a lot more in the tank as the season goes forward.
