Dan Karpuc: Maryland -1.5 vs. Illinois
Maryland (7-0 SU, 6-1 ATS) has quickly become one of my favorite teams to back this season, as their perfect straight-up record and one-loss ATS record shows. This matchup against Illinois (6-1 SU, 4-2-1 ATS) is not going to be an easy one, but I recognize that the Terrapins have a significant edge on the offensive end of the floor. Per KenPom’s rankings, Maryland is No. 17 in Adjusted Offensive Efficiency while Illinois is No. 38. This will be a chance for Kevin Willard’s team to show the rest of the nation who they are and I can see a statement win in their future.

Kate Constable: Maryland -1.5 vs. Illinois
Maryland is off to a hot start this season with a perfect 7-0 record and I think that continues tonight against a very good Illinois team. However, this is going to be the first big test for Maryland because so far they’ve won every game by at least 15 points. Defensively, Illinois has the edge, but offensively, I would take Maryland. They are a deep team with four players averaging double figures and they have the size inside to match up with Illinois. The Terps are also great at defending the 3-point line, which is where the Illini do most of their damage. I expect a loud home crowd tonight, so I’m riding with the home team.
Lucy Burdge: Colgate +13 vs. Auburn
Auburn might be 7-0 this season to Colgate’s 5-4 record, but Colgate is 4-3 ATS this season, while Auburn is 2-4 ATS, so I like Colgate’s chances to get it done when it comes to covering this spread. Colgate is also coming off of covering a 22-point spread as the favorite in their 92-58 win over Hartford, so they have some momentum (even if it was Hartford). And Auburn has failed to cover their last two spreads. So I really like Colgate to cover against Auburn as huge underdogs.
Brad Pinkerton: Gonzaga-Baylor Over 161.5
This is a high number for good reason. Gonzaga and Baylor rank first and second, respectively, in KenPom's Adjusted Offensive Efficiency Rating, though neither appear in the top 50 for the defensive metric. As a result, these teams are a combined 11-3 O/U. It's worth noting that this will be the highest total Baylor has seen so far this season, though Gonzaga has still gone over in both games when they saw a total in the 160s. Rather than picking a side in what should be a tight game, let's enjoy a high-scoring thriller between two Final Four contenders.
