Kate Constable: USC -11.5 vs. Long Beach State
USC relies heavily on its defense, which is ranked in the top 50 in college basketball. They have a strong interior presence with a lot of height that will be tough for Long Beach State to score against. If the Beach isn’t able to find any success inside, scoring is likely going to come at a premium because they can’t make shots from deep to save their lives. Long Beach State is averaging just under five made 3s a game, which is the third-worst mark in college basketball. So, if they can’t score inside or outside, it’s going to be a long night for Long Beach. Take USC to cover.

Dan Karpuc: Western Kentucky -7.5 at Louisville
Who would have thought this would be a logical bet at any point in history? Not me. After losing three consecutive games by one point to start the year, Louisville has been embarrassed in six more games and are now 0-9 SU and ATS. Yes, 0-9 ATS with an average scoring margin of -17.1 points (15th-worst out of 363 Division I schools). Western Kentucky enters this game with an 8-1 SU record and at this point, I’m going to continue fading the Cardinals until they prove me wrong. Western Kentucky has made a wildly impressive 43.3% of its 3-point shots (second-best in the nation), which is very bad news for Louisville, which ranks 322nd in field-goal percentage defense.

Lucy Burdge: UCLA +1 at Maryland
Maryland is coming off of back-to-back losses and failed to cover last time out against Tennessee. Meanwhile, UCLA has won five straight, so I like UCLA to cover and even get the win at Maryland tonight. Also, Maryland is 1-8 ATS at home over the last three years after scoring 60 points or fewer. UCLA covered its last spread on the road, and I think they can cover against Maryland tonight.

Matt Horner: Duquesne -2.5
This line opened at -1 and has already been bet up to -2.5, and in some places even higher. All the money is coming in on Duquesne, and it’s clear which side the big money is on. The Dukes are 7-3, but are coming off two straight losses and have failed to cover the spread in three straight. Yet, the line keeps moving in their favor. If you want to be safer, you can take the ML at a whopping -150, but I’ll take the -2.5.
