Kate Constable: Murray State -12 vs. Chicago State
Murray State has had an up-and-down start to the season having lost to some bad teams and beaten some solid teams. Their biggest win of the year came against Texas A&M, who was ranked No. 24 at the time. The Racers just completed a two-game road trip and are now back at home where they are on an 18-game win streak. Statistically they are far better than Chicago State, which I think will lead them to an easy win. The Cougars have one of the worst assist-to-turnover ratios in the country at 0.73 and the third-worse adjusted defensive efficiency rating. Murray State should be able to take advantage of these weakness, especially at home where they’re most comfortable playing.

Dan Karpuc: Marshall -3 at UNCG
Marshall (9-1 SU, 8-2 ATS) is the road favorite against North Carolina Greensboro (4-6 SU, 2-7 ATS) and the Thundering Herd have certainly impressed early this season under former NBA assistant Dan D’Antoni. Under D’Antoni, Marshall has gone 10-2 ATS after leading their last two games by double-digits at halftime and Marshall is ranked 87th on KenPom’s overall efficiency Ratings while UNCG ranks 164th. There’s a huge difference between these teams offensively as well; Marshall is ranked 92nd in adjusted offensive efficiency while UNCG is ranked 272nd, per KenPom. I’m going to go with the Thundering Herd and think they’ll win and cover easily as their backcourt duo of Taevion Kinsey (20.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.5 assists in 37.9 minutes) and Andrew Taylor (18.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.7 assists in 35.2 minutes) leads the way.

Matt Horner: UNCG +3 vs. Marshall
Sometimes you have to make a pick and it's an ugly one, and that's what we're doing here. Just ask yourself this question: "Why are the 9-1 Thundering Herd only three-point favorites against 4-6 Greensboro? Why isn't this line higher? It makes no sense!" The Spartans have lost four of their last five games, while Marshall has continued to do nothing but win. Three points? Vegas knows something.

Lucy Burdge: UNC -26.5 vs. Citadel
UNC has been struggling, but the Tar Heels are coming off of a win and a covered 13.5-point spread and have covered their last two spreads at home. Also, Citadel is coming off a loss, failing to cover +12.5 at home against College of Charleston. Plus, North Carolina is 14-3 ATS at home over the last three years against teams with winning records. So I like UNC to cover this huge spread and blow Citadel out of the water.
