Kentucky has not looked like the Blue Blood program we’re used to seeing under John Calipari. So why should I think that they can beat a 12-1 LSU team by 10? The Tigers' strength of schedule has been pretty weak this season, but they’ve still logged a few nice wins over Wake Forest and, most recently, Arkansas. They also only lost by two to Kansas State. Statistically, these two teams match up really well and LSU’s KJ Williams should be able to make life tough on Oscar Tshiebwe. Overall, Kentucky hasn’t proved that it is good enough to be a 10-point favorite over anyone right now.

Dan Karpuc: Pittsburgh +6 vs. Virginia
Pitt (10-4 SU, 10-3-1 ATS) has covered the spread nine consecutive times and will host Virginia (10-2, 4-8 ATS), which has failed to cover in seven of its last eight contests. If you’re a fan of trends (like I am), the Panthers have gone 8-0 ATS against teams that commit 14 or fewer turnovers per game and 7-0 ATS versus teams who are called for 17 or fewer fouls per contest this season. Brad Pinkerton: Miss. State at Tennessee Over 123

Usually I'm a sucker for good trends, but this is actually a contrarian pick because I think the oddsmakers set this total too low after these two defense-first teams have started the season a combined 6-20 O/U. While this game will certainly be low-scoring, this is the lowest total Tennessee has seen all season (the closest went over 126.5 by 3.5 points) and the second-lowest number Mississippi State has seen (the lowest went over 122 by 12 points). It might be ugly, but I think these two can combine to clear 123 points.
