I took Wright State to cover -9.5 as one of my best bets when these two teams met earlier this month and the Raiders won by 32. Green Bay is just so incredibly bad. It’s ranked 362 out of 363 on KenPom. Each of its last five losses have come by double digits, while its only two wins on the season were against IUPUI and UMKC. Wright State isn’t one of the top teams in the Horizon League, but it is significantly better than Green Bay in nearly every statistical category. The Raiders rank in the top 100 on KenPom in effective FG%, 2P% and block% and they shot 71% from the field in their last meeting. I don’t anticipate them having that much success shooting the ball again, but they’ll have enough to cover a large number.
Kentucky has gone 11-1 SU at home this season and will welcome a struggling Kansas team to Rupp Arena for this ESPN primetime battle. The Jayhawks have lost three consecutive games after starting 16-1 (82-82 at Kansas State, 83-60 to TCU and 75-69 at Baylor), while the Wildcats have gotten hot with a four-game winning streak that includes a road win over Tennessee. Give me the Wildcats to win this game and earn their way back into the top 25.
Alabama has covered the spread in seven of the last eight games and in five straight road games, while Oklahoma has failed to cover in four straight. The Sooners have also only covered twice in their last seven home games after failing to cover in three straight in Norman, so I like Alabama to cover Saturday.
