We've got some great games on tonight's college basketball slate, so scroll down to check out which games I like and where our BetQL model has found some value.
One trend to note is that the BetQL NCAAB model is scorching hot, going 403-294 (58%) on all picks rated ⭐⭐⭐ and higher in the past 14 days for a total return of $2,519 on $100 bets! This is a tough spot for Arizona State, which is coming off of two straight losses and is now tasked with needing to get a win on the road in order to stop its losing skid. The Sun Devils' offense is far superior than that of the Huskies and they have an interior presence that’s tough for most teams to overcome. That said, the last time these two teams played, the Huskies only lost by eight on the road despite shooting just 28% from 3. Washington is also the better team when it comes to getting to the free-throw line and if that remains true tonight, I like them to cover this number at home.
My Picks: Washington +2.5
North Texas is a very good defensive team, giving up just 55.1 points per game. It also rebounds and turns teams over at a high rate, which is why it’s going to be tough for UTSA to put points on the board. The Roadrunners' offense is bad to begin with, but put them up against the all-around best defense in the conference and I don’t think they’ll get over their team total of 52.5. Looking at their recent scoring output, they’ve gone over this number in each of their last five games, but those games were against much worse defensive teams and teams that play at a much faster tempo. North Texas plays at the slowest pace in Conference USA and will be the one to dictate the pace in this game.
My Pick: UTSA Team Total Under 52.5
Oregon is laying 6.5 points against Colorado? This is the same Oregon team that just lost to Stanford, right? Yikes! I can't lay that many points with a team as inconsistent as the Ducks. They have some good wins against top teams in Arizona and Utah, but then go and lose to not-so-great teams. Colorado also already beat Oregon once this season by 27. The Buffaloes only allowed Oregon to shoot 7% from deep and outrebounded them by 18. I don't expect that same type of beatdown tonight, but the Ducks don't deserve to be 6.5-point favorites over anyone right now.
My Pick: Colorado +6.5
