Clemson at Virginia Prediction

Something is up with Virginia right now. The Cavs are coming off an eight-point loss to UNC and a 15-point loss to Boston College, which was a massive upset. Prior to that, the Cavaliers escaped with narrow wins over Notre Dame and Louisville, the two worst teams in the ACC. Clemson has been playing really well since it took a terrible loss to Louisville last week, winning each of its last two games. The Tigers come into this game with more momentum than UVa, and they’ve shot over 50% from the field in their last two games. Defensively, Virginia is the better team, but not by a huge margin. Green Bay at Wright State Prediction

I’ve backed Wright State in each of its two previous matchups with Green Bay this season, so I feel like I have to do the same again tonight. The Raiders have dominated the Phoenix this season, winning the first game by 31 and the second by 32. The spread tonight is Wright State -21.5, but I’m going to play them in the first half at -11.5 instead. Being this is the first game of the Horizon League conference tournament, I could see Wright State resting players in the second half if they get up big and allowing Green Bay to cover late in the game. The Raiders were up by 25 and nine at the half in their previous meetings, so lay the points with them again tonight.  

My pick: Wright State 1H -11.5

Iowa at Indiana Prediction

There is absolutely no way I can back Iowa on the road. The Hawkeyes are just 3-8 SU and 3-7-1 ATS away from Carver Hawkeye Arena this season. That said, this feels like a good letdown spot for Indiana after knocking off Purdue on Saturday for the second time this season. Instead of playing the side, I'm going to play the over in this one. Iowa has the second-worst defense in the conference, but the top-scoring offense. The last time these two teams met, the total closed at 153 and the game sailed over with a final score of 91-89. I think the winning team hits in the mid 80s tonight, which would likely be enough to put us over this rather large total. You can grab the over at 155.5 (-110) at BetMGM.
