Kentucky at Florida Prediction

Kentucky has really turned things around after hitting the panic button early this season. It’s won three of its last four games, including a five-point win over Florida on Feb. 4. I like the Gators to win again tonight, despite being on the road this time, because Florida is going to be without its star center Colin Castleton. Florida lost to Arkansas by 19 on Saturday without Castleton and, while I don’t expect that big of a win for the Wildcats, I do expect them to cover the -3. The last time these two teams met, Castleton had 25 points, eight rebounds and three blocks. His production is going to be sorely missed, especially when it comes to keeping Oscar Tshiebwe off the glass. Tshiebwe had 15 boards against them and I would imagine Kentucky’s game plan is going to feature him in a big way tonight. The Wildcats could also use another Quad 1 road win to bolster their NCAA tournament resume, so a win tonight would be huge.

My pick: Kentucky -2.5

Minnesota at Maryland Prediction

The Minnesota Gophers are bad. Like really, really bad. So, tonight's game against Maryland presents us with a few different ways to fade the Gophers. First, I wouldn't blame you one bit if you took the Terps to cover this large 15.5-point spread at home. But, I'm going to play the first half and take Maryland to cover -8.5. Outside of their recent game against Purdue, Maryland has been up at the half by an average of seven points in its last three home games. Meanwhile, the Gophers have trailed by an average of 10.0 points at the half in their last three road games. Taking a halftime line also avoids any garbage time points and a potential backdoor cover by Minnesota.

I would also consider a look at the under on Minnesota's team total of 56.5. Maryland's defense is extremely strong at home and the Gophers have failed to top this number in three of their last five games. Take your pick on how you want to play this game, but whatever you do, fade Minnesota.

My pick: Maryland -15.5, or Maryland 1H -8.5, or Minnesota team total u56.5

Syracuse at Clemson Prediction

Clemson was the best team in the ACC just a few weeks ago. It has since lost four of its last five games with its most recent loss coming to a terrible Louisville team. The Tigers still have a chance at getting back into the tournament conversation, but it will likely need to win out, starting tonight against Syracuse. Clemson's defense is the second-best unit in the conference behind Virginia and is especially good at home, where it has held teams under 55 points in three of its last four games. It will need to do that again tonight against Syracuse's backcourt of Judah Mintz and Joe Girard. That said, while those two often lead the Orange in scoring, they aren't players that I'm overly concerned about lighting you up offensively. The Tigers should also have the advantage on the offensive glass because Syracuse gives up a ton of rebounds, which means PJ Hall could be in for a big night for the home team. This line is on the move, so head over to BetMGM and grab it at -4.5 for the best market price.

My Pick: Clemson -4.5
