Dan Karpuc: UConn -20 vs. Buffalo
Under Dan Hurley, Connecticut has gone 22-8 ATS as a home favorite of 12.5 or more points. After coasting to easy wins over Stonehill (85-54) and Boston Univ. (86-57), the Huskies now get to take on a Buffalo team that beat Colgate by one point (88-87) and got thumped by James Madison (97-62). As you probably noticed, the Bulls have allowed an insane 87 and 97 points in their first two games. That’s not going to suit them well against a Connecticut offense that will be able to hurt them in a variety of ways. I fully expect both Adama Sanogo (23.0 minutes, 10.5 rebounds over 23.0 minutes) and freshman Donovan Clingan (9.5 points, 7.0 rebounds in 15.5 minutes) to dominate the interior on both ends of the floor for the Huskies. Buffalo has allowed the opponents to shoot 58.0% from the field so far and I wouldn’t be shocked if the Huskies got over the century mark in a blowout.

Brad Pinkerton: No. 6 Kansas +110 vs. No. 7 Duke

I'm giving the defending champs the slight edge tonight in what should be an amazing game in the Champions Classic that will have the feel of a Final Four matchup. While all teams are trying to gel this early in the season, Kansas should have a head start on Duke's starting unit with the Blue Devils' top freshmen, Dariq Whitehead and Dereck Lively II, both missing time this preseason with injuries. Whitehead is not expected to play against Kansas tonight and while Lively made his debut last game, he played just 14 minutes and all those missed practices will certainly have an impact in a high-stakes game against the Jayhawks. You can also take Kansas +1.5, but I'm playing the moneyline.

Lucy Burdge: New Mexico +3 at SMU
New Mexico is 2-0 this season, while SMU is 1-1 and I think New Mexico can cover this spread against SMU. New Mexico is averaging 84.5 points per game, while SMU is averaging 69.5, which is a huge advantage for the Lobos here. And a trend in their favor is that Richard Pitino is 9-2 ATS when playing only the second game in a week while coaching New Mexico. With New Mexico coming off a win and SMU coming off a loss, I think New Mexico can get the win here and cover the spread.
