Dan Karpuc: Creighton -29.5 vs. Holy Cross
This is clearly today’s marquee matchup because it’s going to be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network, right? Right. As a proud Holy Cross alum, this hurts me to type, but there’s no way I can back the Crusaders, though, even at +29.5. As I detailed in today’s College Basketball Playbook, Holy Cross is ranked 327th in KenPom’s efficiency rankings while Creighton comes in at 24th. That’s quite a gap. Holy Cross opened the year with a 75-68 home loss to Siena and then beat Division III Dean College (who?), 85-71. Allowing 71 points to a D-III school is probably a bad sign. Outside of fifth-year senior Gerrale Gates (21.5 points, 8.0 rebounds over 37.0 minutes), there is nobody to fear on this Crusaders roster. Meanwhile, this might be the best roster that Greg McDermott has ever had at Creighton. They got past St. Thomas-Minnesota, 72-60, in their opener and then worked out the kinks in a 96-61 blowout win over North Dakota in their second game. Ryan Kalkbrenner, Arthur Kaluma, Baylor Scheierman, Ryan Nembhard and Trey Alexander will all have positional advantages in the starting five and I expect them to absolutely roll. There's really not much more to say... this should be a blowout.

Brad Pinkerton: Illinois -26.5 vs. Monmouth
No. 23 Illinois has started the season strong, blasting Eastern Illinois by 30 and UMKC by 38. That makes this -26.5 spread very doable against Monmouth, who has lost by 27 to Seton Hall and 47 to Virginia to start out 0-2 ATS. I don't see Monmouth hanging with another top-tier team tonight in Illinois, either. This line is likely to go up, so grab it at 26.5 if you like it; I'd play it up to 29.5 or so.

Lucy Burdge: Houston -20 vs. Oral Roberts
Houston has covered two spreads of 20 or more points so far this season and I think they’ll do it again for a third time against Oral Roberts. While coaching Houston, Kelvin Sampson is 56-33 ATS as a favorite of 10 or more points, and 85-55 ATS after playing two consecutive games as the favorite. I like Houston to dominate Oral Roberts and cover this spread.
