Today's College Basketball Betting Lines, Odds & Picks

There are a number of great college basketball games on the slate tonight, which means I'll be glued to the TV this evening and looking to make some money in the process. Check out which SEC, ACC and Big 12 matchups I'll be watching and where I think we can find some value.

TCU at Baylor Prediction

If last night’s Kansas State vs. Texas game combining for 216 points is any indication of how Big 12 play is going to go this year, then I have to take the over between TCU and Baylor tonight. I grabbed this earlier when it opened at 141.5 and it's ticked up a little, but I still think there's some value where it's at now. This is a matchup between two top-25 teams that know how to score with both units averaging just under 80 points per game. Led by guard Mike Miles, TCU’s offense loves to score from 2-point range where they’re downing 58% of their shots from inside the arc. They’re also great on the boards and get a ton of second-chance points. On Baylor’s side, they’re back at home after a tough road loss to Iowa State, so I expect them to come out strong tonight. The Bears also get LJ Cryer back after missing the last two games with a concussion. He should give Baylor’s offense a huge boost, so give me the over 141.5.

My pick: TCU at Baylor Over 144

Missouri at Arkansas Prediction

Missouri's offense leads the SEC in scoring and is ranked among the top five in the nation, averaging 89.0 points per game. They also lead the conference in field-goal percentage and rank second in 3-point percentage. So, while Arkansas is one of the better defensive teams in the nation, the Tigers' offense should be able to combat it enough to find success. Defensively, Missouri is also great at generating turnovers, ranking fourth in the nation in defensive turnover percentage at 26%, according to KenPom. My one major concern for the Tigers is rebounding on the defensive end. That'll need to be a point of emphasis if they want to win or cover in this game because the Razorbacks have a massive edge in that category.

My pick: Missouri +7.5

Duke at N.C. State Prediction

This is another game where we've seen quite a bit of line movement today. Duke opened as a 3.5-point favorite before jumping to -5 this morning. I'm a little less comfortable with where the line is now, but I still think it's a number the Blue Devils can cover. N.C. State has one of the more talented backcourts in the ACC with Terquavion Smith, but that’s not going to help them much when it comes to containing the size of Duke's front court. Center Kyle Filipowski is Duke's leading scorer and forward Dariq Whitehead has had two of his best games of the season after starting the year slower than expected after an injury. The Blue Devils also have the 25th-best scoring defense in the nation and have held 13 of their 14 opponents below their season scoring average.

My pick: Duke -5
