I'm actually pretty shocked that the public is backing Kansas, considering how they have been playing as of late. Usually the public likes to fade teams that have been disapointing, but that isn't the case here clearly.

A huge 67% of bets on this game are for Kansas to have a bounce-back game here, but are the Jayhawks just not the team that we all thought they were? It's possible that they really aren't a top-10 team this year, and perhaps Texas getting points could be the move that brings in the profit tonight. That isn't quite the case here, but, they are certainly backing the team that has been winning once again this season against the team that is struggling to stay afloat as one of the league's biggest disappointments. The Panthers won the Presidents Trophy last season, but have barely gotten over .500 this season. Tampa has won two Stanley Cups in the last few years and have once again been one of the NHL's best teams.

As of this writing, a massive 74% of all the bets in this game are on the Lightning to win at -125. I'll be on the opposite side personally, as I will be looking to back the Panthers in the second half of the season. I think they could make a trade at the deadline to bring in better goaltending, which is by far their biggest weakness. This is a team that is taking 35.7 shots per game and scoring 3.40 goals each night. Offense isn't the problem.
