Tre Mann Over 2.5 Assists vs. LAC
The Oklahoma City guard has hit the assists over in each of his last three games (+3.25 units, 93% ROI at BetMGM) and should draw another start tonight with Josh Giddey out due to an injury. Mann has gotten over this 2.5 assists number in each of the last three games and had four in this exact matchup against the Clippers last time out in which he recorded four in 36 minutes.
Expect another heavy dose of minutes for him tonight against the Clips and also keep in mind that he posted a 27.1% usage rate last game compared to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 27.5% usage rate last time out. Therefore, Mann will have the ball in his hands a lot once again; he made 44 passes for 11 potential assists last game. The over is clearly the play here.
Andrew Wiggins Over 1.5 Made Threes vs. MIA
Wiggins is off to a hot start to the new year and has hit the made three-point shots over in all four Warriors games (+4.00 units, 62% ROI at BetMGM). BetQL is projecting him to make three three-pointers against the Heat tonight. Miami has struggled defending the three this year as they rank 24th in the NBA with an opposing 37.9% three-point percentage and have also allowed 13.4 made threes per contest, which also ranks 24th.
Wiggins has made over 1.5 threes in all four games and the volume has also been there, as he’s attempted an average of 7.0 deep balls per game. All we need is two to go down, so I’m very confident in this prop hitting.
Desmond Bane Over 3.5 Assists at SAC
The Memphis guard has hit the assists over in each of his last four games (+4.25 units, 101% ROI at BetMGM) and BetQL is projecting him to record four tonight against the Kings. Ja Morant’s backcourt mate has averaged 6.0 assists on 10.5 potential assists per contest, so there figures to be some upside in this regard once again tonight since he had exactly seven dimes in two of his last three starts. This will be a pace-up game for the Grizzlies since the Kings own the 4th-fastest pace in the league while Memphis ranks 19th in that regard, which also boosts Bane’s potential as a distributor due to more presumed offensive possessions.
The Grizzlies also own the NBA’s worst defense (121.6 Defensive Rating) so far, so there should be a lot of back-and-forth scoring since Sacramento ranks 21st. Keep in mind that the Kings have allowed the 2nd-most points per game off of off-ball screens, so Memphis’ offensive action could provide Bane with some easy looks to open teammates for high-percentage shots tonight.
