NBA Sharp Bet: Heat +4 at Cavaliers

The sharps are riding with the Miami Heat in tonight's NBA action against the Cleveland Cavaliers. A whopping 81% of the total money wagered on the game is on the Heat, but just 50% of tickets are on that side. In contrast, just 19% of the money is on the Cavaliers, but a large 50% of tickets are backing that side. That means we have a fairly big 31% "Pro Money Advantage" on the Heat, by taking the percentage of money wagered and subtracting the bet percentage.

Tickets on the Heat are worth more money overall than those on the Cavaliers, so we know where the big money is going. We have already seen this line move in favor of the Heat, showing that the respected money is on their side rather than the public in this matchup.

Miami has been playing good basketball as of late, winning four of their last five matchups, so the money is starting to back them a bit more here as they look to right the ship. We never know who is going to play on a nightly basis, and that has been the problem for both teams. Donovan Mitchell has been in and out of the lineup, as has Jimmy Butler on Miami's side. Make sure to check the injury report before the game begins, because the NBA is notorious for last second injury designations.

College Basketball Sharp Bet: San Diego State -2.5 at Nevada

San Diego State absolutely dominated them last time, and while the Wolfpack did cover the massive nine-point spread, it's because the Aztecs let their foot off the gas.

NHL Sharp Bet: Blue Jackets ML vs. Capitals

Let's head over to the ice for the final sharp play of the night. There is a ridiculous amount of value to be found in hockey, and if you have been following us here, you have made a lot of money betting on the NHL. The sharps are going with the Columbus Blue Jackets vs. the Washington Capitals tonight. It's clear that the professional bettors are liking the Blue Jackets here to come away with a massive victory over a much better team.

As of this writing, 80% of the money is on the Blue Jackets in this one, but just 41% of the total tickets. In comparison, 20% of the money is liking the Capitals to cover in the game, but 59% of tickets are riding with that side. That means that the tickets that are worth a substantially higher amount of money are siding with the Blue Jackets in the game, as 80% of the money wagered is on just 41% of the tickets placed. Good luck to them here, as there is no way I can back the Blue Jackets tonight. They are far worse than the Capitals, but maybe the sharps know something I don't.
