Dan Karpuc: LeBron James Over 29.5 Points at Mavericks
I surprisingly don’t love any sides or totals on Christmas Day, so I’m going to go with a player prop instead. LeBron James is the NBA’s all-time leading scorer on Christmas Day, and he has been recording 30-plus points routinely with Anthony Davis out due to injury. He put on a Christmas show with 39 points against the Nets in front of the primetime audience last year and will undoubtedly want to outperform Luka Doncic in this matchup. In eight meetings against Doncic in his career, King James has averaged 27.1 points with a high of 39 and I expect him to keep delivering just like he has throughout his historic career. Give me LeBron over 29.5 points.

Kate Constable: Bucks +4 at Celtics
If you asked me a few weeks ago who I liked in this matchup, I probably would have told you the Celtics. But Boston is slumping and Milwaukee is looking like a pretty dangerous team. Are they as dangerous as the Celtics have been? The jury is still out on that one. These two teams played on Christmas Day last season with Milwaukee winning, 117-113, at home. And while the Bucks are on the road this season, I still think they're capable of covering as four-point underdogs.
Giannis Antetokounmpo has been playing some of the best basketball of his career and the Celtics' frontcourt is going to have a hard time slowing him down, even with Robert Williams back in the mix. Boston's two recent losses to the Orlando Magic are also proof that the Celtics are still human and they're capable of having a few off nights. I think the Celtics ultimately win at home, but the Bucks get the cover.
