Pacers at Wizards Prediction

This is not the game you might have expected to start the article, but there is some value to be found here between the Pacers and Wizards. Indiana just got handled by the Bulls in their last contest, 124-109, and the game never really got close. They were down by 7+ at almost every point in the game, and for large stretches, down by 20+. We all kind of knew that the Pacers weren't going to be a good team coming into this season, and they have some serious issues, especially defensively. On offense however, they can play ball. Buddy Hield was awesome in the game against Chicago. He was able to score 25 points on 8-of-16 shooting, which they needed badly just to keep up.

The Wizards might be the surprise team of the Eastern conference this season. I really like what I have seen from them on both sides of the court, and I guarantee Lakers fans are wishing they never traded for Russell Westbrook. The talent that they acquired in that trade has really set them up nicely with a good core of young players and veterans. For their last game, the Wizards got the victory with a final of 120-99 against the Pistons.

MY PICK: I love the Wizards here. Indiana doesn't have the defense to stop Washington and Bradley Beal should destroy them all game long.

Pelicans at Suns Prediction

This is a great matchup between two teams that have both started off the season hot. The Pelicans faced off with the Mavericks and took home the win by a score of 113-111 in their last contest. They were shorthanded in the game, missing their two star players in Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram, but still managed to get the win thanks to their tremendous depth. Trey Murphy III is a guy that has some serious potential, and he put that on display in their last game. He ended up going a ridiculous 100.0% from the field and recorded an assist as well. Murphy scored 22 points on 8-of-8 shooting. We will see if he can build on that going forward, especially if Williamson and Ingram miss this game.

When they last stepped on the court, the Suns walked away with a victory of 134-105 against the Warriors. It was a really impressive win against one of the best teams in the league. Golden State couldn't get much going, and they were powerless to stop the Phoenix offense. Devin Booker was great as always in this one. He scored 34 points and ended up dishing out 7 assists as well. He knocked down 10-of-19 shots for a rate of 52.6%, and totaled 2 rebounds. Booker is a threat to score on every possession, and he went off.

MY PICK: Depending on if Williamson and Ingram play, this bet changes. I like New Orleans if they do, but if they are ruled out, I can't see Murphy being that incredible for two games in a row. Give me Phoenix at the best number you can find.

Bulls at Spurs Prediction

Here's a game I like as well that might not get as much attention as the other two. Chicago is coming off of that victory against the Pacers, as I mentioned previously. This is a team that I have been fading, and will continue to do so. I don't like this roster as it sits, and the Bulls really didn't do much of anything to improve over the offseason. An aging DeMar DeRozan can't put up 40 points a game and carry this team twice a week like he did last season. Zach LaVine has knee problems apparently, and the team just signed him to the MAX. Lonzo Ball is out with an unknown knee injury for an unknown amount of time. How can all this add up to being a good team? LaVine is great when he does play, and he went off against Indiana.

The Spurs are an awful basketball team with a lot of young players that need to learn how to win games. San Antonio took a loss by a final score of 134-122 when they played the Timberwolves in their last game, and defense was nowhere to be found. The young guys on this team are still just learning how to play NBA ball, and with that, defense is a liability. The offense is there, and they can put up good numbers against some other bad defenses.

MY PICK: I'll take the points with the Spurs here. They have played better than what they have, and I am just going to keep fading the Bulls until all these problems come back to bite them.
