NBA Odds, Predictions For Jan. 20

We wrap up the work week with three NBA plays tonight, including one ⭐⭐⭐⭐ value from our BetQL model. Scroll down to see what our model likes as well as where I've found some value.

One trend to note is that the BetQL NBA model is on fire, going 49-28 (64%) on all picks rated ⭐⭐ and higher in the last three days for a total return of $1,017on $100 bets! Thunder at Kings Prediction

The Sacramento Kings (25-18 SU, 26-17 ATS, 21-21 O/U) host the Oklahoma City Thunder (22-23 SU, 29-16 ATS, 26-18 O/U) for the teams' first meeting of the season.

The Kings have gone over this number in four of their last five games and in that five-game span, they posted an offensive rating of 132.1. That’s the best mark in the league, and nearly 10 points higher than the second-place Nuggets. It’s not too surprising that the Kings' effective field-goal percentage and true shooting percentage also lead the league. The Thunder aren’t far behind, ranking in the top 10 in each of those categories. OKC has also shot over 50% from the field in three of its last four games and has been outscoring teams in the paint. We’re looking at a fast-paced game with plenty of action on offense, so take the over 241.5.

My Pick: Thunder vs. Kings Over 241.5

Clippers vs. Spurs Prediction

The Los Angeles Clippers (23-24 SU, 22-25 ATS, 18-28 O/U) are coming off two double-digit losses and now travel to the Lone Star State to take on the San Antonio Spurs (14-31 SU, 22-23 ATS, 26-18 O/U).

Neither team has been loading up the numbers in their win columns lately. The Clippers have lost nine of their last 11 games while the Spurs, outside of their win on Tuesday, lost five straight and eight of their last nine. However, San Antonio has covered the spread in eight of its last 11 games, which is all I'm asking from them tonight.

The Clippers are so hot and cold and ultimately just aren't a team that I trust because their lineups are so inconsistent. With the Spurs having already lost to this LA team twice this season, I think San Antonio comes into the matchup as the more motivated team. They play at the second fastest pace in the league over their last five games while the Clippers play at the second slowest. If the Spurs can control the pace this is going to be a problem for the Clippers because they rank dead last in the league in scoring. While the Spurs' defense is also dead last, I could see them doing enough offensively to hang with LA and cover at seven-point underdogs.

My Pick: Spurs +7

Knicks at Hawks Prediction

The red-hot Atlanta Hawks (23-22 SU, 19-25-1 ATS, 24-21 O/U) are back home after a big win against the Mavericks and now turn their attention to the New York Knicks (25-21 SU, 23-20-3 ATS, 23-22 O/U).

It's Friday, and I'm feeling generous, so I'm going to give you our BetQL model's highest-rated play of the day. Take the over in the Knicks vs. Hawks game tonight. Atlanta has won its last four games and its offense has looked the best I've seen all season throughout that stretch. Against the Mavericks, Trae Young and Co. shot 57% from the field and 50% from deep. They shot 59.2% from the field against the Heat and 51.2% against the Raptors.

The Hawks are now only 1.5 games back from Miami for first place in the Southeast standings and seem to really be hitting their stride right now. I can't really same the same for the Knicks who are coming off two-straight losses in which their offense struggled. However, I think there's a good chance we see New York's offense regress back toward their mean, giving this game enough pace to go over.

My pick: Knicks vs. Hawks Over 228.5
