Dan Karpuc: Pacers +8.5 at Nets
The Nets are an absolute disaster and, as a Celtics fan, I am so here for all of the chaos. Kyrie Irving is a problem off the court (shocker), Ben Simmons looks completely lost on the court (another shocker) and Kevin Durant is putting up meaningless numbers because the Nets are 1-5 SU and 1-5 ATS, as I detailed in today’s NBA Playbook. The Pacers just beat the Nets by nine points in this exact matchup (125-114) on Saturday and I’m a firm believer in budding star Tyrese Haliburton and rookie Bennedict Mathurin, who is turning heads in the Rookie of the Year conversation already. While I’ll admit that it’s unlikely Indiana will shoot 23-for-46 (50%) from 3-point range again in the rematch, the Pacers held a 55-34 advantage on the glass without starting center Myles Turner, who is off the injury report and will play today. Indiana completely outplayed and out-hustled Brooklyn last time and at this point, I’ll sprinkle some on the Pacers’ moneyline as well.

Brad Pinkerton: Pacers +8.5 at Nets
Dan said it all above: The Nets are a mess right now, making it impossible to back them, especially at -8.5. Meanwhile, the Pacers are exceeding expectations and surprisingly fun to watch. I like them to give Brooklyn another run for their money after beating them outright on the road Saturday. Another angle I'm looking at will be the over (currently 236.5); these two combined for 241 points Saturday to clear the 239.5 total, making over 236.5 interesting. However, sharps were hitting the under early Monday morning, according to BetQL, so I'm holding off for now, but I will watch that data as we get closer to tipoff to see if line movement and sharp money confirm my lean to the over.

Lucy Burdge: Bucks -13 vs. Pistons
The Bucks are a perfect 5-0 ATS, while the Pistons have established this weird pattern of covering the spread in every other game. Because they covered in their last game, I believe they will keep that pattern going and fail to cover here. One trend in the Bucks’ favor is that Mike Budenholzer is 47-19 ATS vs. division opponents while coaching Milwaukee, so I like the Bucks to cover the spread here.
