Best Bets To Win 2023 NBA Finals MVP

Lucy Burdge: Nikola Jokic (-340, FanDuel)

If the Nuggets win the Finals, which I think they will, the MVP has to be Jokic. He’s the best player in the league right now and I think he will lead the championship win. He’s averaging 29.9 points in this postseason with three 30-point games in his last five and a 50-burger against the Suns. I think he’ll keep that scoring up and carry this team to a win and glide to a Finals MVP win.

Kate Constable: Jimmy Butler (+430, FanDuel)

If the Heat win the finals, Jimmy Butler will be the MVP. It’s as simple as that. We just saw Caleb Martin have a breakout series against the Celtics and deserved at least a few votes for ECF MVP, but there was no question that the award was going to Butler. Miami certainly has its work cut out for it, but it has defied odds all postseason. Plus, if the Nuggets win, Nikola Jokic will almost certainly win MVP and at -340 at FanDuel, there isn’t any value in betting on him. That said, if you think the Nuggets are going to win Game 1, I would suggest waiting to bet on Butler because you’ll likely get an even better number than +430 at FanDuel.

Dan Karpuc: Jamal Murray (+2000, DraftKings)

There’s no value in betting Nikola Jokic for Finals MVP, so I’m going to roll with Murray and his upside. Since I think that the Nuggets are going to sweep the Heat, I’m obviously going to target a Denver player and the only one I’d consider other than Joker is Murray. In their sweep against the Lakers last round, Murray averaged 32.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists and scored over 30 points in three of the four games. If he repeats those numbers or builds off of them while the Heat decide to trap Jokic and make others beat them, I could see this happening. At 20/1, there’s a ton of value here.

Brad Pinkerton: Jamal Murray (+2000, DraftKings)

Everyone expects the Nuggets to roll to victory (which kinda makes me want to sprinkle a little on the Heat to win this series, to be honest), so there's really no value in betting them to win or even trying to guess how many games it'll take. Instead, I'll bet the Nuggets in a different way and go with what would be a mild upset with tremendous value: Jamal Murray to win Finals MVP. Everyone also expects Jokic to take this award, but don't forget that Murray was on fire against the Lakers, averaging 32.5 ppg, 6.3 rpg and 5.3 apg in the Western Conference Finals. Assuming the Nuggets win the Finals, it comes down to Jokic vs. Murray for MVP, and the value/upside clearly lies with Murray.

About BetQL's NBA Picks

BetQL is the place you go to for NBA Finals MVP bets, but we also have plenty of other services besides value bets on futures. We have the most advanced NBA model with a proven track record of winners to get you swimming in the green by the time the season comes to a finish. The BetQL NBA model will have you covered every day of the season, and every game of the season, with the best bets available on the market right now. It shows you the price of each bet and where to place it at the best price, so you always will get the most value out of every wager you place.

The BetQL NBA model ranks bets based on a "star-scale" platform, which rates each bet 1-5 stars based on how valuable the wager is. A 1-star bet tells you to stay away, and that there is no value there at the current number, while the higher you go on the scale means more value is to be had. A 5-star bet is the most valuable wager we have, and we would recommend putting a unit on that particular wager. BetQL encourages a wager on 3-star and higher bets, with 3-star being a smaller bet and 5-star being a larger one. We have bets on the spread, total, moneyline and 1st-half of every NBA game, so make sure to check it out as the lines change!

Understanding NBA Finals MVP Picks

if you are new to the sports betting world and have no idea how to place these bets, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. BetQL have you covered and we'll explain everything right here. Taking an NBA Finals MVP future bet simply means you are betting on who is going to be named the MVP of the NBA Finals after the series is over. Keep in mind, the bet won't be paid out until a winner is crowned. It's easy to place a wager on NBA Finals MVP futures, as we explain below:

  • Log on to BetMGM Sportsbook
  • Head to the NBA tab
  • Click on the futures tab
  • Scroll down to "NBA Finals MVP"

You can place these bets at any sportsbook of your choosing, but I recommend using whatever book gives you the best number to get the maximum value on your bet. If one book is offering +400, while the other is offering +550 and you want to bet it, always take the +550.
