Thunder -9.5 vs. Hornets ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Charlotte Hornets will look to make it three wins in a row when they visit Oklahoma City tonight to take on the Thunder. Obviously, it's been a tough season for Charlotte with a record of 25-51, but they are clearly still fighting for every win. Fans may be happy or sad about that fact depending on how you feel about tanking, but players never actually try to tank. Still, this is a very bad team that lacks talent. They have a -6 point differential and really struggle on both sides of the court. It gets even worse on the road, where they are just 12-27 SU on the season.
The Thunder are looking to make this their 6th straight home victory, as they have been tough to take down in. Oklahoma City. They are 22-15 at home, which is far better than their 15-23 road record. OKC has been the surprise of the league, as they actually have a shot at making the playoffs this season when most people counted them out before the season. They actually have a positive point differential of +1.2, so you can't really say they are frauds.
The BetQL model loves the Thunder tonight at home to get a huge win. The Hornets are overmatched, and they are terrible on the road.
Trae Young Over 2.5 Made Threes vs. Cavaliers (+120, DraftKings)
Young has gone over this number in seven of his last ten games and the last time he played this Cavaliers team, he went 4-for-7 from three-point range, yet we’re getting plus-money on this at DraftKings. I’ll take advantage of this price and suggest that you do the same before it moves!
College basketball is probably going to get all the attention from sportsbooks with their odds boosts and promos tonight, but here's a play for one of our favorite daily NBA promos at BetMGM (we'll update if anyone drops a good NBA boost, though):
BetMGM NBA One-Game Parlay Insurance Play of the Day: Hornets-Thunder +400 OGP
Opt in to the promo and place a four-leg (minimum) NBA one-game parlay with at least +400 odds; if your OGP loses by one leg, you'll get your stake back in a free bet up to $25 -- and you can take advantage of this promo once every day there's an NBA game!
We've already hit several of these using the strategy of "middling" the alt total and alt spreads for each team to increase our chances of getting the insurance if the OGP doesn't hit. Also, DO NOT play these OGPs without the promo, as the insurance is the only reason these bets are valuable over time. Here is my play for today. You can adjust each leg to your liking and apply this strategy to any NBA game, any night:
OGP odds: +400
Join BetMGM to start taking advantage of their daily OGP insurance promos across NBA, NHL and EPL/UCL. New BetMGM customers also get a risk-free first bet up to $1,000 using the offer below!
Not only does the BetQL model find the most valuable NBA bets every day, but it also finds some fantastic betting trends to help you make more informed bets. Whether that be a situational trend, an historical trend or a coaching trend, we have something for every game that shows why a team might be valuable that night.
Celtics-Wizards: Washington Wizards are 2-12 ATS versus teams who average 7 or less steals/game on the season while at home this season.
Heat-Raptors: Miami Heat are 7-21 ATS when playing against a team with a losing record this season.
Cavaliers-Hawks: Cleveland Cavaliers are 36-22 ATS as a favorite this season.
Hornets-Thunder: Oklahoma City Thunder are 44-29 ATS in all games this season.
Magic-Grizzlies: Orlando Magic are 32-19 ATS versus good shooting teams who are making more than .46% of their shots this season.
Pelicans-Warriors: Steve Kerr is 43-64 ATS on Tuesday nights while coaching Golden State.
