Trends are one of the most popular tools to utilize when betting on sports, and we feature a boatload of them here at BetQL. Every matchup is different, and we have trends based on each matchup and how it could affect the outcome. Our best trends will be listed here for each sport, so our premium subscribers get a glimpse at what specific trends blend with our model's projections. Let's find some winners and cash out large.
Remember, these trends don't take into account how high a line might be priced. Some trends may have a huge moneyline associated with them. In that case, I recommend pairing that team with the trend on them with another, for a small two-team parlay. Most sportsbooks have parlay boosts as well, so you can still get value.

Today's NHL slate is pretty large, and that gives us a ton of trends to choose from. We'll give you one that comes with massive plus-money behind it, and that is on the Montreal Canadiens here against the vaunted Bruins. Boston has been the best team in the league this season by far, and it is on pace for 66 wins, which would break the NHL single-season wins record. The Canadiens stink, let's just be honest here, but there is a trend on them that could mean they have a shot tonight against such a tough opponent.
Head coach Martin St. Louis is 5-0 SU in the second half of the season versus teams outscoring opponents by at least 1.0 goal/G while coaching the Canadiens. He's undefeated against these teams in this situation, and while the Canadiens are pretty bad, they are getting a massive +310.

Let's head to the hardwood now, where we see the Miami Hurricanes "traveling" to Florida State to take on the Seminoles. An in-state rivalry like this one usually is very tough, but FSU has been nothing short of a total mess this season. It's been astonishing, with a 7-13 record after such a good run over the past few years. Miami is 15-4 and ranked 20th in the nation, but here's the catch: why are they just -3 against this terrible Florida State team? That line makes absolutely no sense at all, which is why we love it so much.
There's also a trend here on the Seminoles: Head coach Leonard Hamilton is 54-32 SU after two consecutive games as an underdog while coaching Florida State. The record here speaks for itself really, but you could also be up 31.05 units if you had bet every one of these games. That's a massive 30.7 ROI%. With this line already smelling fishy, I think there is a really good chance we add another win to this trend tonight.
Heading to the NBA, we have a fantastic trend right now on the New Orleans Pelicans as they host the Denver Nuggets. It's been a rough go as of late for the Pelicans, as they have lost four straight games coming into this one against a very good Nuggets team. Denver has won four of its last five games, but is coming off a loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The spread for this game is really small, and it could go either way, but we have a trend that favors the Pelicans to come out on top tonight: The Pelicans are 13-1 SU at home versus teams allowing opponents to shoot more than 46% this season.
What this means is that Denver has been allowing a lot of points this season, and has been allowing teams to shoot the lights out. New Orleans has been taking advantage of these teams at home and has an impeccable record in this scenario. You'd be up 12.2 units just this season betting on this trend, and that is music to my ears.
