Kate Constable: Warriors at Nuggets o232.5

The over in this game is our model’s favorite play for today. The total opened at 239.5 but has ticked down to 232.5 and I think it’s dipped a little too low now. Denver has gone over this number in seven of its last 10 games and five of its last six home games. The Warriors have gone over this number in eight of their last 10 road games and the last time these two teams met, they finished with a final score of 251. The Nuggets have the second-best offensive rating this season at home, while the Warriors lead the league in pace, both on the season and specifically on the road. This is going to be a fast-paced game with plenty of scoring. BUT, make sure Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins are playing before betting on this. If they’re out, I’d look at a Nuggets team total over.

Dan Karpuc: Hornets +6.5 at Bulls

Let me be very clear about this: the Hornets are not a good team. Their 15-37 record tells the story. However, they’ve covered five of their last seven spreads, including a backdoor cover against the Bucks last time out (that I happened to be on). LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier, Mason Plumlee, Gordon Hayward and PJ Washington are all healthy and don’t forget that Charlotte beat the Bulls, 111-96, last Thursday. Over the last seven games, the Hornets rank eighth in Defensive Rating, where they’ve made massive strides. I expect them to keep this one close and will be sprinkling some on their moneyline as well.

Matt Horner: Mason Plumlee o24.5 Pts+Rebs

The big man for the Hornets has been on a tear recently, averaging 27.9 P+R in January. Last week against this same Bulls team, he had 33 P+R and destroyed Chicago inside; in the first game this season, he had 24 P+R. The Bulls are a small team, and Nikola Vucevic is a pretty soft defender. In two games against Chicago, Plumlee has had 25 total rebounds. I think he gets the job done tonight to get us over this P+R number.

Brad Pinkerton: Pelicans-Mavs o223

Assuming everyone is healthy and on the floor tonight (never a given for any NBA game), this should be a fast-paced, high-scoring affair. The Pelicans should have Brandon Ingram back in the lineup along with C.J. McCollum, giving them a nice 1-2 scoring punch, while Luka Donic (ankle) looked completely healthy last time out, dropping 53 on Detroit. There are also a couple trends to back the over: The Mavs skew toward the over at home and as favorites, and are 16-8 O/U as home favorites; the Pels are 18-8 O/U on the road, including 12-4 as road 'dogs. Again, check the injury reports, but if the stars are active, target the over here.

Lucy Burdge: Bucks -4.5 vs. Clippers

The Bucks are 23-14 ATS as favorites this season after covering six of their last eight in that position. Plus, they are 17-9 ATS at home, all as favorites. The Clippers are just 15-14 ATS on the road this season, so I like Milwaukee to cover at home tonight.
