Spread: Thunder -4.5 (-115, BetMGM)

OKC has been one of the league’s most consistent teams this season and will enter this matchup on the back of five consecutive double-digit wins. The two most recent victories in that stretch came against the fully healthy Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks. Both squads have played higher level basketball than the Bucks this season. The Thunder have covered in 16 of their 25 games this season and the Bucks still aren’t quite at full strength given that Khris Middleton is still easing his way back into things after undergoing two ankle surgeries over the offseason. Nineteen of the Thunder’s 20 wins have been by more than four points this season.

Total: Over 215.5 (-110, BetMGM)

The Thunder have an elite defense that’s giving up a league-low 103.5 points per game. However, slowing down Giannis Antetkounmpo is no simple task. Bucks games totaled at least 216 points in six straight games before their latest meeting with the Atlanta Hawks. Milwaukee’s superstar also has a great track record against Isaiah Hartenstein. The total has gone over 230 in the last three games Hartenstein started at center against Antetokounmpo. All of those matchups came during Hartenstein’s time with the Knicks’ who boasted the NBA’s second-best scoring defense last season and allowed just 108.2 points per game last season. Antetokounmpo will get downhill and get to the charity stripe, giving the over a strong chance to hit. The under might be more likely if Chet Holmgren were available as well.
