As the 2024-2025 NBA season approaches, the race for the MVP award is already generating buzz. My Best Bet: Nikola Jokic +375

Jokic is coming off his third MVP win in four years after averaging 26.4 points, 12.4 rebounds and 9.0 assists per game across 79 starts. It’s really hard for me to believe that anyone in the West is going to knock him off the throne, especially after SGA put up 30.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 6.2 assists (leading OKC to the No. 1 seed in the West) and Doncic posted 33.9 points, 9.2 rebounds and 9.8 assists last year and still didn’t win.

In the East, Embiid can’t stay healthy and Antetokounmpo’s deferral to Damian Lillard in late-game situations will likely hurt him as far as the MVP conversation is concerned. In my opinion, we will see this price for Jokic approaching negative odds midway through the season (yet again), so it’s best to get in on the action now.
