Jaren Jackson Jr. -175

The Grizzlies’ star remains at the top of the DPOY race for yet another week. The former Spartan is averaging 3.2 blocks, 4.8 defensive rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game. Jackson Jr. inches closer and closer to his first DPOY trophy as the season progresses.

Nic Claxton +400

Entering this week, the Nets’ big man has closed the gap between him and Jaren Jackson Jr. It is no surprise that Claxton is again moving up the rankings, leaping past Brook Lopez after a monstrous week.

The Georgia product is averaging 6.4 defensive rebounds, 2.7 blocks, and 0.7 steals per game. The Nets’ big man is emerging as a defensive star and could be vital for a playoff run for Brooklyn.

Bam Adebayo +600

The Miami Heat center continues to stay among the top five. Adebayo is averaging 7.2 defensive rebounds, 1.2 steals, and just under one block per game at 0.8. There is still plenty of time for the Kentucky alum to make a push to the top of the DPOY race.

Brook Lopez +1000

The 34-year-old veteran from the Bucks is managing to stay atop the DPOY race. The big man is averaging 2.5 blocks, 0.5 steals, and contributing 4.3 defensive rebounds per game.

Giannis Antetokounmpo +3000

The two-time MVP is chasing yet another Defensive Player of the Year award. The versatile forward makes his presence known on both ends of the floor, so it is no surprise that he remains within the top five. Antetokounmpo is averaging 9.7 defensive rebounds, 0.8 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game.

The number may not be as flashy as others, but anyone who watches the Bucks’ defense understands the importance of Giannis in that system.
