Lakers +6.5 at Nuggets (-115, BetMGM)

I like the Lakers to win this series and I think they can start off on the right foot and cover this spread against the Nuggets in Game 1. Nikola Jokic might be arguably the best player in the NBA right now but LeBron James is still LeBron James and I think the Lakers can handle the Nuggets in this game and cover the spread.

Mets ML vs. Rays (-155, DraftKings)

The Mets are coming off a loss to the Nationals and have lost five of their last eight games, but Justin Verlander is back on the mound for them tonight. I think this is a major advantage for New York. In his Cy Young year last season with the Astros, Verlander was 18-4 with a 1.75 ERA. And I see this as a major turning point for the Mets with a win today.

Wade Miley u3.5 Ks at Cardinals (-145, BetMGM)

Miley has only hit this over once this season with eight strikeouts, but he's gone under this in all of his other six outings. And the Cardinals have a strikeout rate of 20.4 percent this season, which is the seventh-lowest in the league. I took the under on Miley's strikeouts in his outing against the Rockies earlier this month and that hit nicely with two Ks and I'm taking this again here to go under against St. Louis.
