One Red Sox Futures Bet You Might Not Want to Overlook

If there is one future to look at for the Red Sox team, this is the most enticing

While some will try to tell you the 2023 Red Sox are a bad team, they are not. They are a good team and they are fun to watch, so I am just putting those rumors that this team is bad to rest.

That being said, they are in last place in the AL East. And their odds at DraftKings to win the World Series are +7500, to win the American League are +3500 and to win the AL East are +4500. I will say these odds don't reflect how exciting this team has been to watch most of the time. But while you might be hesitant to take any of these Red Sox futures odds right now, there is one future for this team I would suggest not completely overlooking.

And that is their odds to make the playoffs at +360.

(And I know people might say, "To make the playoffs in which year? lol" THIS ONE).

While taking those other odds might be a bit more unsettling (according to some), their odds to make the playoffs are not so out of the question. The team is 29-27, so they are above .500 and not all is lost to say the least. And it is only June. They are also finding ways to win, amassing three walk-off victories by just the end of April. There is plenty of season left for the Red Sox to gain ground in the standings and make the playoffs as a wild card team by the fall.

Yes, Chris Sale leaving his start early on Thursday night with left shoulder soreness was stomach-turning. Not the greatest turn of events. However, there are still things to look forward to for this team, believe it or not. The return of Adam Duvall, for one. He started off this season red-hot, hitting .455 with four home runs, five doubles and a triple with 14 RBIs and an OPS of 1.544 in the eight games before he broke his wrist. So he will be looking to pick up right where he left off. And then of course there will be the return of Trevor Story and then this team will have a shortstop again. Looking ahead to the summer for this team, there is some promise there.

Which is why if there is one futures bet I am not overlooking when it comes to the Red Sox, it is or them to make the playoffs and keep their hopes alive for a World Series run (this year).
