The 2024 MLB season will be here before we know it, and now is the time to start looking at the MLB futures market to see if we can find any value on players heading into the year. The key is to find a player that we think is valuable at their current odds, one we think will have their odds drop as the year moves on. These can be sleepers or favorites, value is everywhere as long as you have good reasoning behind it.
BetQL will have you covered all season long on a game-by-game basis to keep you winning money all summer. Let's take a look at a player below that I think has some good value at the current price in the MLB futures market.

Aaron Judge To Win AL MVP +550, DraftKings
Before the last MLB season began, I gave you the Texas Rangers to win the World Series at a huge number, and I hope you listened. You cashed in huge, and we are going to try to run it back this season as I release some of my favorite futures bets for the upcoming 2024 season.
While everyone is still focused on basketball and hockey right now, we will look ahead to baseball, where the market is still a bit soft with the lack of attention. One player that caught my eye right off the bat is Aaron Judge, who is around +550 odds to win the AL MVP award.
I'm still working on some deep sleeper picks that I eventually will give out, but for now, I have found most of the value to lie in the favorites. I've given out the Yankees at 9/1, and they are my favorite MLB future bet right now in terms of the World Series at the number. For that to happen, we are going to need a big bounce-back season from Aaron Judge, and I think that is exactly what happens.
Judge had a 2022 season for the ages, breaking the AL single-season home run record with a remarkable 62 long-balls. He was unstoppable, and many people were lining up to bet him to win the 2023 AL MVP. However, that is usually a terrible idea. Most of the time, any player who is coming off of a historic season fails to meet those expectations in the following year for one reason or another.
Last year, while Judge had a solid season, injuries kept him sidelined for a significant amount of time. As a result, he managed just a .267 batting average with 37 home runs, just over half of what he managed in 2022. That is still a very good season, but it wasn't even close to what he did in 2022.
I think 2024 will be a resurrection year where he will hit much closer to his standards and probably even exceed them again. I'm not saying that he is going to break records, but if he can even come close to what he did in 2022, I think he is a lock to win this award. Shohei Ohtani is no longer in the AL to steal the award away, either.
There is the threat of having a teammate like Juan Soto diminish his status as an "MVP," but I still think Judge is the guy that is going to lead this team to the promised land. I'm a big believer in the Yankees this upcoming season, and they'll need their superstar to be a big part of their success.
