The 2024 MLB season will be here before we know it, and now is the time to start looking at the MLB futures market to see if we can find any value on teams heading into the year. The key is to find a team that we think is valuable at their current odds, one we think will have their odds drop as the year moves on. These can be sleepers or favorites, value is everywhere as long as you have good reasoning behind it.

BetQL will have you covered all season long on a game-by-game basis to keep you winning money all summer. Let's take a look at a team below that I think has some good value at the current price in the MLB futures market.

World Series Odds: Atlanta Braves +500, DraftKings

Before the last MLB season began, I gave you the Texas Rangers to win the World Series at a huge number, and I hope you listened. You cashed in huge, and we are going to try to run it back this season as I release some of my favorite futures bets for the upcoming 2024 season.

While everyone is still focused on basketball and hockey right now, we will look ahead to baseball, where the market is still a bit soft with the lack of attention. One team that caught my eye right off the bat is the Atlanta Braves, who are around +500 odds to win the World Series.

I'm still working on some deep sleeper picks that I eventually will give out, but for now, I have found most of the value to lie in the upper-tier squads. I've given out the Yankees at 9/1, and they are my favorite MLB future bet right now in terms of the World Series at the number. The Braves are up there as well, it's just the value isn't quite as good at 5/1 odds.

For some reason, the Dodgers are now ahead of the Braves in odds to win the World Series. I'm not sure that is warranted, even with L.A. signing the league's biggest superstar, Shohei Ohtani. Last I checked, the Braves finished with 104 wins last season before falling in the NLDS to the Phillies. The Dodgers had 100 wins and lost their NLDS to the Diamondbacks.

While there is no doubt that the Dodgers have gotten better from last season, I just don't think they are this much better than Atlanta is. They are +360 right now to win the World Series, and I'd argue that they should be about the same as the Braves. L.A., despite all of the money and power, has consistently come up short in the postseason.

Reigning NL MVP Ronald Acuna Jr. is still the best pure hitter in MLB, and he still will be suiting up for the Braves. This is still the most lethal offense in baseball as well, with Matt Olson, Michael Harris, Austin Riley and Ozzie Albies all bringing their talents back to Atlanta in 2024 for what should be another fantastic season.

The health and depth of the pitching staff has been the biggest question mark for this team, but with Max Fried finally healthy and Spencer Strider taking steps toward being more than just a strikeout guy, they are led by a solid one-two punch. Chris Sale joins the staff, and if he can still fire the way he used to, he will be a huge boost to this staff. Injuries are always a question for him at this stage of his career, but we know what he is capable of. Backed by a solid bullpen, I am high on this staff as the season comes into shape.

Let's not forget, that there are still a ton of free agents out there that the Braves could sign. This is a team that is hungry for another World Series, and they still have one of the most talented teams in MLB. The Dodgers are good, but I'm not convinced they are better than Atlanta already.
