About Carlos Alcaraz

Carlos Alcaraz Garfia is a professional tennis player from Spain. He was born on May 5, 2003, in Murcia, Spain. Carlos started playing tennis at the age of three, and by the age of 12, he had won the U-12 Spanish Championship.

In 2018, at the age of 15, Carlos became the youngest player to win a match in the Challenger circuit, which is the second-highest level of professional tennis. In the same year, he won the Junior US Open doubles title, partnering with his compatriot Nicolas Almagro.

Carlos made his Grand Slam debut at the 2020 Australian Open, where he reached the second round. In August 2020, he won his first ATP Challenger title in Trieste, Italy, becoming the youngest player to win a Challenger event in three years.

In February 2021, he reached his first ATP Tour final at the Chile Open, where he lost to Argentine player Facundo Bagnis. In April of the same year, he won his second Challenger title in Alicante, Spain.

In July 2021, Carlos made his debut at Wimbledon, where he reached the third round before losing to Canadian player Denis Shapovalov. Later that month, he won his third Challenger title in Cordenons, Italy.
