Upset Alert: Beware These NFL Underdogs in Week 6

Dan Karpuc: Giants +200 vs. Ravens
The G-Men are off to a 4-1 start, but still aren’t getting any respect by oddsmakers at home against the 3-2 Ravens. Brian Daboll immediately changed the culture and established a system of accountability that rewards deserving Giants with playing time. After they beat the Packers, 27-22, in London last week, I’m not going to ignore this team any longer. Plus, I’m not very high on the Ravens; two of Baltimore’s three wins came by a field goal or less and they own one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL. That should open the door for Daniel Jones and his receivers to make an impact through the air in a major get-right spot. New York’s defense should also have an edge against Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense since New York’s defensive coordinator Wink Martindale spent the previous four seasons as Baltimore’s DC. He will have his unit fired up and should also be able to relay some pointers when it comes to limiting Jackson’s impact as a runner. Give me the Giants to pull off the home upset.

Lucy Burdge: Jets ML +275 vs. Packers
The Jets find themselves in second place in the AFC East after winning their last two games against the Steelers and Dolphins. I don’t think it’s out of the question that they could beat the Packers, especially because the Packers are coming off of a loss to the Giants. A trend in the Jets’ favor to win is the team is 4-0 SU vs. teams with 42 or fewer penalty yards per game over the last two years. So I have faith in the Jets to keep their winning streak going and take down the Packers this week.

Brad Pinkerton: Chiefs +125 vs. Bills

Patrick Mahomes at home at plus-money? Yes, please. This is the first time Mahomes has been a home 'dog in his career, so I'm taking advantage. This game is sure to be another thriller that will likely come down to the last play of the game (again), and I'll put my money on Mahomes The Underdog to pull out the win; he is 6-2 SU and 7-0-1 ATS in his career as the underdog, and those were obviously all on the road. At +125, I like those odds with Mahomes.
