Top NFL Player Props For MNF Week 3

Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants, 8:15 p.m. ET

Daniel Jones Over 206.5 Passing Yards (-115)

Giants quarterback Daniel Jones hasn’t gone over this total yet this season, but I believe he does this week. His highest passing yards total for the season is 188 yards. But he’s completing 71% of his passes and has thrown just one interception. And for Jones’ career, he averages 219 yards per game. So it’s about time he gets back to somewhere near that total. The Giants have won their first two games under first-year head coach Brian Daboll. Jones should show more signs of becoming comfortable in this offense in Week 3.

Cooper Rush Over 0.5 Interceptions (-115)

Hype has been surrounding Cowboys backup quarterback Cooper Rush since he led his team to a win over the Bengals last week. That doesn’t mean he won’t be prone to some mistakes against a divisional rival.

The Giants are in the top 10 for least passing yards allowed per game (197.5). They’ve allowed the Ryan Tannehill-led Titans and the Baker Mayfield-led Panthers to 20 or less points to start the season. Three Giants cornerbacks are in the top 35 of Pro Football Focus’ grades at the position, and safeties Xavier McKinney and Julian Love are capable of forcing turnovers as well.

Rush may still perform well overall in this game. But the Giants are one of eight teams which haven’t intercepted a pass yet this season, and I believe they’re due for one in primetime.

Ezekiel Elliott Under 58.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott hasn’t gone over this rushing total this season and hasn’t very often in recent history. In his last 14 games, Elliott has surpassed this total only once. In the first two weeks of this season, he’s totaled 52 yards against the Buccaneers and 53 yards against the Bengals.

The Giants are NFL betting favorites at -1. It’s possible the Cowboys run the ball often enough for Elliott to go over here in an attempt to control time of possession. But it’s more possible in my mind that the Cowboys fall behind and have to pass to catch up and that Tony Pollard accounts for a large portion of the Cowboys’ rushing work. That’s why I would take the Under here.

However, make sure you take into consideration the health of the Giants’ defensive front. Three of their four projected starting defensive linemen are questionable as of Friday, Sept. 23, so keep an eye on that.
