Thanksgiving Day NFL games offer fans an exciting slate of action, and the betting markets for anytime touchdown (ATTD) scorers add another layer of intrigue. With dynamic running backs like Jahmyr Gibbs, David Montgomery, and De’Von Achane hitting the field, we’ve highlighted the best ATTD picks for Week 13. From Detroit’s powerhouse duo to Dallas’ emerging workhorse Rico Dowdle, these predictions provide excellent value and insight into players poised to find the end zone. Let’s dive into the stats and matchups that make these TD picks stand out this holiday.
DAN'S PICKS
Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs ATTD & Lions RB David Montgomery ATTD vs. Bears (+153, FanDuel)
Both of Detroit’s running backs have juiced-up odds to score a touchdown, and rightfully so. Nicknamed “Sonic and Knuckles”, these guys have both been absolutely crushing. Gibbs has scored seven touchdowns in his last six games (at least one in five of the six) with at least one in eight of 11 games played this year (11 overall). Montgomery also has 11 touchdowns and has scored at least once in four of the last five games. These two studs split carries and both get substantial opportunities to score every time out. Rather than getting odds between -185 and -220 for either to score, let’s parlay both of them to score to get +153 odds over at FanDuel.
Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle ATTD vs. Giants (+107, Caesars)
Dowdle hasn’t yet scored a rushing touchdown this season, but I think that’s going to change in this matchup against the Giants on Thanksgiving. With Tommy DeVito under center, New York’s defense got tired and allowed four rushing touchdowns in their loss on Sunday, including three to running backs. Dowdle is coming off a 19-carry, 86-yard outing and is the clear workhorse in Dallas’ backfield heading into this matchup. I love the price and expect him to find pay dirt this week.
Dolphins RB De’Von Achane ATTD vs. Packers (-106, Caesars)
Achane has scored at least one touchdown in six of seven games with Tua Tagovailoa under center this season and that’s now eight of his last nine regular season games dating back to last season. With three rushing scores and five receiving scores this season, his multi-dimensionality makes him an awesome bet at this price tag. In my opinion, this should be juiced to around -150.
BRYAN'S PICKS
Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs vs. Bears (-185, BetMGM)
Frankly, anyone on the Lions is a decent anytime TD pick at this point. However, the injury availability of David Montgomery and Amon-Ra St. Brown is something to monitor and changes the calculus a little. Also, as prolific as Jared Goff and the passing attack have been this season, the Bears have allowed the third-fewest passing touchdowns in the NFL. For the record, the Lions have allowed the fewest, so that takes Chicago’s receivers out of play too. In the end, Gibbs is the safe choice, even if he doesn’t boast a ton of value. He has 11 touchdowns on the season, including at least one in five of his last six games. Also, with Montgomery potentially limited, Gibbs is a good option for 2+ touchdowns at +320.
Giants RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. vs. Cowboys (+130, BetMGM)
Despite last week’s win, the Dallas offense is all out of whack with Cooper Rush at quarterback. The Cowboys have three offensive touchdowns in their last three games, and they’ve been scored by Jalen Tolbert, Luke Schoonmaker, and KaVontae Turpin. There’s no rhyme or reason to predicting who might find the end zone for the Cowboys. The Giants, meanwhile, are a little more predictable. Five of the seven touchdowns they’ve scored in their last four games have come on the ground. With Dallas conceding a league-high 19 rushing touchdowns this season, this is a toss-up between Tracy and Devin Singletary. Tracy’s been getting far more carries this season, making him the safe bet to get the Giants across the goal line against a Dallas defense that’s allowed 33 points per game over its last six games.
Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle vs. Packers (+230, BetMGM)
Waddle and Tua Tagovailoa had excellent chemistry last week, connecting on eight passes for 144 yards and a touchdown. Waddle has just two touchdowns this season, but they’ve both come in the last four weeks. Even if the Packers think he's becoming more of a threat, they can't afford to take their attention off of Tyreek Hill. Cornerback Jaire Alexander being listed as questionable during a short week is also a concern for the Green Bay secondary. The Packers may not have the resources to give Waddle the attention he warrants, making it easier for Tagovailoa to look his way, especially when the Dolphins are in and around the red zone.
