Two teams on the very opposite end of the Week 1 surprise spectrum are meeting here, with the Texans tying the Colts, 20-20, in Week 1, and the Broncos falling flat on their faces on MNF in Seattle, 17-16.
Obviously, the expectations are much higher for Russell Wilson and the Broncos as opposed to the Texans, but Houston has thrived as an underdog over the last year, making this a little more intriguing than just a bounce-back for the Broncos, especially after what we saw from them on Monday Night Football.
A lot of blame has fallen on rookie head coach Nathaniel Hackett's decision to kick a 64-yard field goal instead of going for it on fourth down late against Seattle, but there were far more issues than just that.
The Broncos committed 12 penalties for 106 yards while fumbling twice at the Seahawks' 1-yard line. That's not gonna help you win games, that's for sure. That, along with going 0-4 in the red zone, and it's clear why the Broncos were in that late-game situation.
Wilson still had 340 yards passing and a touchdown, but it wasn't the homecoming he was probably expecting for Week 1.

Houston was able to come away with a tie even after the Colts put up 517 total yards of offense last week. The Texans also couldn't even average 3.0 yards per carry, but forcing two turnovers from the Colts made a big difference.
Momentum, even with just a tie, feels like it's more on the Texans' side than it is for Denver, which can be a dangerous thing when you play a team with nothing to lose.

After what we saw from the Broncos, it's not crazy to think the Texans can at least cover here. They were 8-9 ATS last year and considering they were underdogs almost every week, that's a big accomplishment.
Even though the Broncos are far superior in the talent department, they clearly have some issues to work out. Denver wins, but Houston keeps it closer than expected.
