Super Bowl LIX Staff Picks for Chiefs vs. Eagles

This year’s Super Bowl will be here before we know it, as the Chiefs and Eagles are preparing for the Big Game.

And our staff of experts is prepared with picks to win it all. There is a popular choice here for which team will end up hoisting the Lombardi Trophy.

Are the Eagles a better team? Yes. Will this game take place on Saquon Barkley’s birthday? Yes. Are the Eagles more explosive on both sides of the football? Yes. With all of that being said, will the Eagles win? Probably not. This Chiefs team has continuously found ways to win as Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes & Co. chase the first-ever three-peat. There’s no way I’m going to fade them in this spot and I’m going to spend most of my time researching Gatorade bath colors, how many times Taylor Swift might be shown on the broadcast, the National Anthem length and Kendrick Lamar’s first halftime song instead.

Lucy Burdge: Chiefs ML (-130, BetMGM)

The Chiefs are just going to win the Super Bowl and three-peat and make history and we just have to accept it. The Eagles and Saquon Barkley looked unstoppable against the Commanders, but the Commanders are not the Chiefs. So I’m taking the Chiefs to win their third Super Bowl in a row.

You won’t catch me stepping in front of the Chiefs quest for a three peat. The Eagles are the better overall team but Patrick Mahomes has played in too many of these big-time moments to bet against him. It will be another close game down the stretch but I like Kansas City to come out on top.
