How about those Seahawks, huh? Shocking everyone with their upset win over the Broncos on Monday Night Football, they head to Levi's Stadium once again an underdog against the 49ers.
San Francisco played in one of the sloppiest games we've seen in their loss at Chicago, where they were essentially squeegeeing the field between plays, and the offense couldn't get a thing going.
Seattle comes in with little pressure, while the 49ers are staring down an 0-2 start.
One thing's for sure with this Seahawks team -- they won't lay down and give up this season.
Sure, the Broncos made a ton of mistakes, couldn't do a thing in the red zone, and decided to kick a 64-yard field goal instead of going for it on fourth down to keep their late drive alive, but let's give credit to what Seattle showed us in their win Monday night too.
Geno Smith played so well in the first half, that DraftKings ended up making MVP odds for him at halftime (+8000 by the way), and he played mistake-free football. His two touchdown passes were beautiful throws, and he showed he'll stand tall with confidence in the pocket even when it's collapsing.
That being said, Seattle is still in a rebuild, and losing safety Jamal Adams to a quad injury is a big blow.
They'll continue to play with confidence, but their lack of talent will still lead to a lot of losses.

Let's keep in mind here that the Niners not only played in horrific conditions, but were without George Kittle, and ended up losing Elijah Mitchell to injury. Mitchell is expected to miss significant time, while Kittle's status will be fluid throughout the week. A lot was working against them in Week 1, but that doesn't take away the early pressure to see a better performance from the offense here, especially Trey Lance.
Lance went just 13-28 for 164 yards passing and a pick while getting outperformed by another second-year QB in Justin Fields (at least touchdown-wise).
He can't play that way again.
In better conditions and at home, you can expect Lance to look more like a starting QB that belongs out there against Seattle in Week 2. At least they certainly hope so, otherwise, Jimmy G is just sitting there holding a clipboard on the sidelines waiting.

Seattle comes in riding the confidence of what they did to Denver, while San Francisco is desperate for a win, and that matters.
It also matters that the Seahawks just aren't as talented as the 49ers, though, and they should be able to come out and win this game, but Seattle has enough momentum to at least keep this closer to a touchdown or so spread.
