It's now been three straight years since the Patriots have won a playoff game. As they head into Week 1 in Miami, the crowded AFC puts New England at +160 to make the playoffs on BetMGM.
Playoffs are certainly the expectation in Miami now (+135), with the Dolphins' expecting big things from their new-look offense. Adding Tyreek Hill, Terron Armstead, and Cedrick Wilson Jr.
New England Patriots
The Patriots were seventh in the NFL in scoring last season (27.2 points per game), but on the road there was a major dip to just over 22. Add that to the fact that they're 2-7 ATS in the last nine games against Miami, and you can see why the Dolphins are the favorites.
The Patriots also went just 3-4 ATS in division games last year, with the under hitting in nine of the last 13 road games as well.

Miami Dolphins
With all those added weapons on offense, there's no doubt this is a make-or-break year for Tua Tagovailoa. Miami has won six-straight home games, including their 33-24 win over the Patriots in Week 18 of last year.
The total has also hit the under in six of Miami's last nine games against New England.
That being said, there's a lot more firepower on Miami's side of things, so you can expect a strong gauge of their potential going up against a Patriots' defense that was second in passing yards allowed per game last season.
