The Packers may have lost their best receiver (by far) in Davante Adams in the offseason, but Super Bowl aspirations are still alive and well in Green Bay. They have the fifth-best odds to win the Super Bowl at BetMGM (+1200), and are third in NFC odds (+500).

The Vikings hit 2022 with a new head coach in Kevin O'Connell (+1400 to win Coach of the Year), and sit behind the Packers (-155) in the NFC North odds (+250).

Green Bay may be used to taking that crown, but Minnesota will certainly try to knock them off, and it starts by making a major statement Week 1.

The biggest question mark surrounding this team comes from who is and isn't, in that receivers room.

Gone is Adams, Rodgers' favorite target and one of the best receivers in the NFL, with rookies Christian Watson (+1600 for OROY) and Romeo Doubs (+1400) expected to take on large roles in the offense. Rodgers has been public about things like drops and bad route running though, during the preseason from the young wideouts there, which can either lead to sharper and quicker growth or a loss of confidence, only time will tell.

Green Bay still has Aaron Rodgers, so the hope will obviously be the rest just falls into place. There could be a bit of a learning curve with the new pass catchers he has to throw to, which for Week 1 purposes, could be meaningful.

Green Bay is still 5-1 ATS over their last six games in September, and 4-2 straight up over their last six against the Vikings.

What will O'Connell bring to this Minnesota offense? Well, we can certainly expect a much more modern approach, that's for sure.

O'Connell spent two years in Washington with Kirk Cousins, and has already said that history has really helped them early on. The rookie head coach also comes from growing Sean McVay coaching tree, and we saw what they looked like when he was offensive coordinator for the Super Bowl champion Rams.

Minnesota is just 6-12 ATS over their last 18 against NFC teams, though, but having a huge knowledge gap right now with a new offense will make this a little harder to gauge.

The Packers are 31-10 straight up in conference games while Matt LaFleur has been head coach, while also going 7-2 ATS at home last year, the best record in the NFL in that situation.

Even with some questions on both sides, Green Bay has handled Minnesota well recently, so a win by just a field goal here feels reasonable.
