As someone who will be betting on the Packers tonight, I love this odds boost over at BetMGM tonight.
If Green Bay is going to have success in this game, it likely will have to come through the air. Detroit has the fifth best rushing defense in the NFL, but they rank far worse against the pass at just 25th in the league. We saw what Caleb Williams did last week after halftime, throwing three touchdowns and 200+ yards. He tore them to shreds in the second half of that game, and I think Love has a good chance to do the same for Green Bay.
Since the Lions are the NFL’s public darling, getting the most tickets and money every single week in the NFL, I will happily fade them here. Detroit has been an ATM machine for public bettors, but they failed to cover last week against Chicago, and I think this is going to be a very close game tonight once again. It seems as if some teams have finally figured out that the Lions can be had through the air, and they have been exposed recently there.
It will be hard for the Packers defense to stop the Lions at home, to be sure, but they have the playmakers to keep this game within reach of even a backdoor cover.
