Trends are one of the most popular tools to utilize when betting on sports, and we feature a boatload of them here at BetQL. Every matchup is different, and we have trends based on each matchup and how it could affect the outcome. Our best trends will be listed here for each sport, so our premium subscribers get a glimpse at what specific trends blend with our model's projections. Let's find some winners and cash out large this weekend.
In this special edition of Trends, we focus on the best trends for the NFL divisional games to get you the best information before betting on the contests.
Remember, these trends don't take into account how high a line might be priced. Some trends may have a huge moneyline associated with them. In that case, I recommend pairing that team with the trend on them with another, for a small two-team parlay. Most sportsbooks have parlay boosts as well, so you can still get value.

Our first trend of the weekend features the underdog Cincinnati Bengals on the moneyline against the vaunted Buffalo Bills. This is a 5-star trend according to our model, so it has been extremely profitable this season. Our trends are rated on a star scale, with five stars being the highest possible rating. The ratings are based on profitability, so you know if you had been tailing this trend all season, you would be quite a bit of money right now. It's easy to track these trends as a BetQL subscriber, so what are you waiting for? Seriously, jump on the wagon with us and start making money.
The Cincinnati Bengals are 11-1 SU vs. poor passing defenses who are allowing a completion percentage of 61% or higher this season. Buffalo's defense hasn't been as stingy as it has been in the past, and they have been pretty poor against the pass. Welp, that is bad news for them, as Joe Burrow and company have been absolutely nails against bad passing defenses this season. We saw a third-string QB last week put up 31 points against this team, and Josh Allen continues to turn the ball over.
If you tailed this trend, you'd be up 10.4 units and have an ROI of 86.7%, which is fantastic. This is just a little taste of how much cash you could be up, as we have many more trends making us the dough. Check out our best bet above to see if the model is aligned.
Let's get to our second trend of the day, which is nearly as strong as the first but just not quite at 5-stars. (This one ticks in at 4.5 stars.) San Francisco gets to tangle with the Dallas Cowboys this weekend, and there is a trend with the 49ers that is giving us a reason to believe that Brock Purdy's hot streak will continue, at least at the start of the game.
49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan is 22-5 1H ATS off a home win while coaching San Francisco. As we know, this has been one of the best teams in the league almost every year that Shanahan has been head coach. After he takes a team down in his own home stadium, he comes out swinging in the next game. The guy just covers 1H spreads in this situation way more often than not, so you can expect them to do so again here. Perhaps there is nothing to take away from the Cowboys' win last week against a Buccaneers team that wasn't very good to begin with.
However, if you do indeed like the Cowboys in this game, it might be wise to wait until halftime to bet on them with this trend being active. You might be able to double dip here and cash in on two bets.
Okay, so maybe this one isn't a shock at all considering Kansas City is a massive favorite in this game, but it is still worth mentioning as a possible parlay piece. Our last trend of the day features the Chiefs taking home a win vs. the Cinderella story of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Patrick Mahomes is certainly looking to get another Super Bowl Championship under his belt, and this trend will certainly help his cause. This is another 4.5-star trend, so very profitable but not the best of the best.
The Kansas City Chiefs are 11-1 SU vs. poor passing defenses who are allowing a completion percentage of 61% or worse this season. This is essentially the same trend that the Bengals have going for them, but with the Chiefs being favored in more games than Cincinnati, not quite the same profitability as them. The Jaguars secondary is actually pretty bad this season, and we saw Justin Herbert tear them apart last week before the typical Charger collapse in the second half. Patrick Mahomes won't make the same mistakes with Andy Reid at the helm of the offense instead of Joe Lombardi.
That's it for top trends, let's cash in this weekend!
