BetMGM's MNF Player Prop Picks for Bears-Patriots

Justin Fields Over 216.5 Passing+Rushing Yards (-120)

Bears quarterback Justin Fields has gone over this total in each of his last three games, so I’m predicting he will again here.

The Patriots haven’t faced many quarterbacks as mobile as Fields this year. But when they played Lamar Jackson, he ran for 107 yards against them. The Patriots are also 26th in rush defense DVOA, per Football Outsiders. That’s why I also like Fields to go over 44.5 rushing yards (-115).

If Fields runs for 45 yards at least, then all he needs is 172 passing yards. His passing yards Over/Under is 167.5. He’s cleared that total in his last three games, which also happens to be the three games he’s thrown at least 21 times. Five of the Patriots’ six opponents have thrown for at least 200 yards, so Fields should have a good shot at going over on the combined total.

Darnell Mooney Over 43.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

If Justin Fields passes for 200 yards, then much of that should be going to wide receiver Darnell Mooney. After the Bears’ first two games where Mooney was targeted five times and totaled four yards, he’s been targeted at least five times in every outing including 10 times against the Commanders a week ago. He averages 59.25 yards per game during that stretch and hasn’t recorded less than 52 yards in his last three games.

Plus, the Patriots haven’t been great against wide receivers. In their six games, 12 wideouts have gone over this total. Nine have recorded receptions of 21 yards or longer. So Mooney should have another good day against New England.

Cole Kmet Under 14.5-Yard Longest Reception (-115)

After catching no passes the first two weeks of the season, Bears tight end Cole Kmet has gone over this total in three of his last four games. But the volume isn’t there for this trend to continue. Kmet has been targeted more than three times in just one game this season. He averages 19.3 yards per outing.

Now he’s going against the Patriots, who have performed well against tight ends. Only three at the position have caught a pass of 15 yards or longer, and only two have recorded games with at least 30 yards. The numbers don’t add up in Kmet’s favor this week.
