It's only one game, but the Bengals did themselves no favors when it comes to the whole "Super Bowl Hangover" narrative on Sunday.
Cincy put up a ton of yards on offense against the Steelers, but turnovers and sloppy play sent them home with a 23-20 OT loss to their division rival.
Still, the Cowboys might have it a lot worse. Not only did they lose, 19-3, to the Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football, but now they're also without Dak Prescott for at least a month with a thumb injury.
It's definitely possible for teams to be desperate for a win in just Week 2, and these are two that surely fit that mold.
Despite the fact that Joe Burrow threw for 338 yards as part of the Bengals' 432 total yards of offense, his five turnovers that started with a pick-six on his first pass of the game was all too devastating to overcome. Burrow was also sacked seven times behind a revamped offensive line that was supposed to, you know, not look like last year's group.
Luckily, they face a Cowboys team that's spiraling, with the injury bug continuing to hit every major piece on their roster, so you can expect to see the Bengals in a much better place in Week 2.

So, where to go from here? Should the Cowboys just ride with what they've got at quarterback until Prescott returns or trade for someone like Jimmy Garoppolo? There's been about a million of those types of questions being asked after Prescott injured his thumb, but they don't really help much for Week 2.
It's Cooper Rush time right now in Dallas. He comes in 38-for-63 passing over 11 career games with the Cowboys, with three touchdowns, an interception and a 93.9 QB rating. He'll have to hold down the fort at least on Sunday, and probably longer, for a Dallas offense that's missing pieces all over the place like left tackle Tyron Smith and wideout James Washington. Michael Gallup is also considered questionable, so they're in trouble.

For starters, Cincinnati is 5-0 ATS in their last five road games, while Dallas is 1-4 ATS in their last five home games. Add those trends to the miserable list of injuries and just pure lack of talent the Cowboys will have on the field this weekend, and the Bengals should be able to rebound from their Week 1 loss.
